Culture and the Arts Managers of the Philippines (CAMP) Pag-ayo, Inc. is a non-profit organization of artists, trainers, health advocacy workers and volunteers who are passionate about reducing stigma and discrimination affecting the marginalized communities, particularly the PLHIV, LGBTQIA+, and people who have mental health conditions.

This 2024, we will actively operate in the areas of NCR and Rizal, and the online sphere, and will continue our efforts in implementing projects that are meaningful for the affected community and in support of the HIV service delivery network, towards #ZeroStigmaPH.

PAGLAYA: LAMBANA Women Artists Take a Stand for Stigma Reduction Through Art

In solidarity with the international celebration of Women’s Month, the Culture and Arts Managers of the Philippines (CAMP) Pag-Ayo, Inc. proudly presents PAGLAYA, a milestone exhibition featuring Lambana – Angono Women Artists Collective, the first and only all-women artist group from the region. The exhibit opens on March 8, 2025, Saturday at 5:00 PM, at The Gallery, Camp Neñada Community Center, Angono, Rizal. The event is open to the public.

PAGLAYA aligns with #ZeroStigmaPH, highlighting the crucial role of women, mothers, and allies in creating Neutral Spaces—judgment-free environments where conversations around mental health, HIV, sexuality, and gender flourish through creative expression.

The exhibition showcases the transformative power of art in breaking societal stigmas, empowering dialogue, empathy, and inclusion. Each piece tells a story of freedom, courage, and compassion—proving that art can challenge prejudice while celebrating womanhood, advocacy, and social change.

PASINTABI Exhibition at the Higantes Festival, Angono

The PASINTABI Exhibition is one of the complementary events of the 2024 Higantes Festival in Angono, Rizal, it offers a powerful showcase of 15 young artists from Luzon and Angono, Rizal. Running from November 10 to December 23, 2024, this exhibit dives into thought-provoking themes of sexual health, sexuality (SOGIESC), and mental health, aligning with the #ZeroStigmaPH advocacy by the Culture and Arts Managers of the Philippines (CAMP).

The PASINTABI Exhibition creates a platform for 'Neutral Spaces', where difficult and often taboo subjects can be explored without fear of judgment. By addressing sensitive societal issues, the young artists not only promote awareness but also challenge stigmas and stereotypes that surround mental health and sexuality, fostering an inclusive environment for dialogue and understanding.

The featured artists include Ahlen Ken Batalon, Angelo Deluna, Cee Bora, Cyrus Joshua (Cy.Mon), Jed Lagrana, Jo Nomoso, Juan Paulo Sto Domingo (Juan El Pintor), Kaz Motoda (Kazuyuki Motoda), Marco Flores, Mary Ann Bautista, Matthew David, Ar. Paul Mervin Demapelis, Michaela Nicole (Mikaela), Niccolo Cosme, and Rafael Joy Banday. Through their collective creativity, the exhibition sparks necessary conversations about societal issues and transforms art into a tool for advocacy.

CAMP's 1st Community Center - Launched in Angono Rizal

Camp Neñada Community Center publicly opened its doors for the first time in Angono Rizal, last November 19, 2023. The community center is part of a network of Champion Community Centers Nationwide which are being funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria (GFATM), under the project entitled “Philippines Response in Optimizing Testing, Empowered Communities, Treatment and Sustainability; Upscaling Programs and Services to the Communities Affected and Living with HIV to end the Epidemic (PROTECTS UPSCALE)” , through the Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (as principal recipient), and LoveYourself, Inc. (as sub-recipient).

The event holds special significance as it coincided with the vibrant Higantes Festival of Angono Rizal.

CAMP & Klaypel's #pagkakaISA Community Mural unveiling for the 33rd World AIDS Day [2021]

This 8ft x 16ft mural was designed by a group of young artists in response to research and data collected from the #MayStigmaBa Project of CAMP Pag-Ayo, Inc. Entitled #pagkakaISA, it means unity in ending (I)nequalities, (S)tigma, and (A)IDS, which also responds directly to the 33'rd World AIDS day theme.

In partnership with Klaypel and LoveYourself Inc, CAMP's #pagkakaISA mural was launched and unveiled during the 2021 PLHIV Summit which was held in Ortigas Complex on December 7 to 11, 2021. It served as a centerpiece for the culminating activity of the summit, where CAMP, through its Executive Director Ian Felix Alquiros, had a chance to discuss the history and advocacy of CAMP #ZeroStigmaPH, including the 2021 #MayStigmaBa Project. Some of the video outputs of the research was shown during the session. Members of the PLHIV Community was asked to respond to the mural and how they felt about it. #ZeroStigmaPH

Volunteers and Scholars of CAMP mounted their handprints and signature as a commitment to the Stigma Reduction Advocacy of CAMP.

Edwin S. Loyola’s “What’s On Your Mind” series was enthused by his perception of the Philippine society, thus putting powerful words, both aggressive and motivating, into a visual collection laid on a canvass.

Niccolo Cosme’s “XIV” series, was inspired by the 14 stations of the cross, but created within the context of HIV. Cosme explained, “The pieces from XIV series are painted with HIV positive blood, which I think, give more leverage and texture as well as deeper story on the artworks.
