Camp Neñada is a multi-purpose community center dedicated to serving the Young Key Population (YKP) communities and organizations in the Province of Rizal. It will function as an art space and a hub for various activities, initiatives, and advocacies that focus on mental health, sexual health, inclusivity & diversity, and stigma reduction. It intends to bring together different individuals, organizations, and resources related to these advocacies. The center may serve as a hang-out space and meeting point for people interested in these topics, a venue for events, workshops, and activities, and a platform for artistic expression that can contribute to raising awareness and fostering understanding of these advocacy topics.

Program goals

Our goal is to provide a creative, safe, 'neutral', dynamic and inclusive space where YKP health and wellness issues can be addressed, discussed, and acted upon collaboratively.

FOSTER INCLUSIVE CONVERSATIONS:

"CN Talks" Lecture Series provides a dynamic platform for open discussions on sexuality, sexual health, mental health, and arts.
"Pag-ayo Series" Art Workshops utilize arts and media to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and sexual well-being.
"The Gallery" Art Exhibition Space features thought-provoking exhibitions, starting with "Pasintabi," to challenge societal norms and promote understanding.

PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:

"TCS Sessions" serves as a Free Tambayan space, offering essential sexual health and mental health support, alongside HIV SelfCare Testing.
The "SelfCare Program" provides discreet and convenient access to HIV self-testing services, empowering individuals to prioritize their health.
The CBS Outreach Program brings Community-Based HIV Screening Services to select PROTECT Sites in Rizal, ensuring widespread access to healthcare.

All programs, powered by the #ZeroStigmaPH advocacy, aim to create neutral spaces where individuals can freely discuss sensitive topics without fear of judgment.
The community center collaborates with local and international experts, volunteers, and community organizations to actively involve the community in shaping and benefiting from the programs.
The initiatives are aligned with the PROTECTS-UPSCALE project, reflecting a commitment to community-driven healthcare and positive change.

"CN Talks," is a lecture series, a vibrant program that seeks to engage, educate, and empower individuals through its diverse and thought-provoking lecture series. In this creative and intellectual hub, participants delve into a rich tapestry of topics designed to foster understanding, promote inclusivity, and ignite conversations that matter. One of the focal points is "Sexuality & Sexual Health," where sessions such as SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity & Expression, Sexual Characteristics) and #ZeroStigmaPH's deep dive on Art for Stigma Reduction create a safe space for dialogue. "CN Talks" is committed to shedding light on timely legislations like the Mental and Safe Spaces Act and RA 11166, the "Philippine HIV and AIDS Policy Act," intertwining human rights with essential knowledge about HIV , Sex Education, and Human Rights.

In addition to exploring the intricacies of sexuality, "CN Talks" places a spotlight on "Mental Health," offering sessions like "Mental Health 101" for a deeper understanding, and "It's okay to not be okay," addressing the stigma surrounding mental health issues. "SelfCare Champions Program," a pioneering HIV Self Testing Service Delivery initiative at our community center, proudly powered by the PROTECTS-UPSCALE project of Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. under the Global Fund. Committed to expanding access to crucial health services, the "SelfCare Champions Program" stands as a beacon of progress in Rizal, providing a discreet, convenient, and empowering solution for HIV testing.

Our community center is equipped with private and conducive self-testing rooms and counseling spaces, ensuring a confidential and supportive environment for individuals to take control of their health. During both day and sundown operations, HIV self-test kits are readily available within the center, allowing easy access for those seeking a proactive approach to their well-being. Moreover, recognizing the diverse needs of our community, we offer pick-up and delivery services, ensuring that self-test kits are accessible from any point in Rizal.

This program redefines the landscape of HIV testing by embracing a client-centered and stigma-free approach. The community-driven healthcare with our CBS Outreach Program, a groundbreaking initiative providing Community-Based HIV Screening Services to select PROTECT Sites across the picturesque Province of Rizal. Our reach extends to the vibrant communities of Antipolo, Binangonan, Cainta, Taytay, Rodriguez/Montalban, San Mateo, and Angono, where we bring essential testing services directly to their area. This mobilization is made possible through the dedicated efforts of our CBS Motivators and Volunteers, working in collaboration with local Community-Based Organizations and under the careful coordination of respective City and Municipal Health Offices.

Our CBS Outreach Program aims to break down barriers to healthcare by meeting communities where they are. Through strategically organized events, we facilitate on-site HIV screenings, providing a convenient and supportive environment for individuals to prioritize their health. The program thrives on community engagement, ensuring that locals actively participate in shaping the outreach activities that matter most to them.
